Location: Louisville, KY.

Labor Rocket is looking to hire a Quality Manager in Louisville, KY., who is looking to grow within an organization at a long-term full-time job. This role is a direct hire placement within the organization. 

Shift: There could be need to work outside these hours on occasion. 

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-4:00pm 

Pay Range: $70-80k salary

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Provide daily direction and supervision to Quality Control staff
• Oversee the design and implementation of GMP, HACCP, sanitation and food safety programs in order to maintain the highest level of plant quality standards
• Communicate with customers, outside vendors, and internal staff regarding quality-related issues for the facility on a regular basis
• Provide technical recommendations and guidance to Executive staff on quality matters for existing and potential customers
• Analyze and make recommendations based on chemical, physical and microbiological food-testing results
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to eliminate potential food contamination while maximizing productivity
• Oversee the coordination of periodical audits of outside firms
• Lead research and development of food products

Qualifications

• College Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Microbiology, or Related Field (Preferred)
• 2+ years of experience with Quality Control (Food Manufacturing - Preferred)
• PCQI certificate (preferred)
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must have reliable transportation
• Available to work overtime as needed
