Location: Hudson, Ohio
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Will train on 1st shift)
- Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Work 36 hours, get paid for 40! (Training on 1st shift, Monday–Friday)
Position Summary
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for producing high-quality machined parts while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This role involves setting up and operating CNC mill and lathe machines, conducting in-process inspections, and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to excellence in all aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and supervisor instructions.
- Perform and document routine inspections and measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and CMM equipment.
- Make minor machine adjustments after receiving proper training.
- Record production data using Microsoft Navision and data collection sheets.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure production goals are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Move materials using a forklift or pallet jack as needed.
- Use small hand tools for deburring, trimming, or finishing parts.
- Consistently report to work on time and ready for the scheduled shift.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operation experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Preferred:
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Proficiency with measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, etc.)
- Tow motor (forklift) certification or experience
- Ability to visually inspect small parts and fine details (burrs, edges, radius, etc.)
